Art and Design

MY ART HISTORY

I started as a conceptual artist in San Francisco in 1967.

I was a member of the 200, an international group whose only famous members were John Lennon and Andy Warhole, but we did things.

While continuing event art I also started painting and drawing; I never stopped drawing.

I began etching in 1973

Surrealist in San Francisco 1973-1975

Landscape realist in Colorado 1975-1981

Except it took me two years, 1978-1980, to get my M. S. degree in physics from Colorado State University.

By 1978, 32 galleries throughout Colorado sold my etchings.

While studying and then teaching physics and writing poetry and philosophy I kept on drawing.

In 1993, while designing new wind turbines, I learned CAD, and I loved computer graphics.

I have been working digitally for the last ten years.

My main art programs are:

Photoshop

Illustrator

Bryce

truSpace

Swift

I print out of

InDesign

And build my websites with

GoLive

Live Motion

Flash

And just typing HTML

I play with surrealism, representationalism, abstractio, subrealism, magic realism (my favorite when it happens) and whatever just happens to become, becomes being.
