Journey of Quantum Infinity

August 9, 2003
Suppose, for the moment, that we can have some sort of contact or overlap with our multiple selves.

Consider the set of identical selves. call this set S and the members, or idnividual selves, S.

In the model of worlds converging and diverging we would expect selves to diverge from each other while other selves were converging. Thus the elements S of S would be constantly arriving and departing. In fact, due to quantum variation, just about every S in S would diverge from every other S.

Yet each S, in its own world, remains itself.

Is S a meaningful entity? It sort of makes sense, i an approximate way. Yet a close look seems to dissolve its boundaries. We could just call S an open set.

It is almost as if we have defined a 'superself, S.

Each one of us is an S and belongs to an ever changing set of selves S.

We walk around amidst a myria of ever changing and ever identical selves.

How can this knowledge affect our experiences of life?

Everything that can happen does happen, perhaps in an infinity of worlds.

Can we gain strength and wisdom from our multiplicity?

It is possible that we can, even through the knowledge or imagination that our multiplicity exists, whether we can communicate with our other selves or not.
