Triadic Dualism

Mind Alive

Triadic dualism is often most readily apparent in the arrangements of things. We can find it both in nature and in the naive plcing of objects by humans. It is often seen in trees on a hillside but you can also observe triadic dualism in patterns of pebbles and stones in dry river beds. People often arrange objects, such as furniture, lamps or the things on desk tops and in drawers in patterns of triadic dualism. (I suspect that after reading this some people will use more triadic dualism for such arrangements and some will avoid it.) This has been done with naive intuition; now it is interesting to make conscious use of triadic dualism in arranging items in much more complexly apparent, harmonious and orderly patterns than has hitherto been available.

Arrangements, in general, have at least two aspects. These are the nature, e.g. shape, of the objects being arranged and the locations where the objects occur in relationship to each other. Both aspects are relevant to triadic dualism. Here we show some of the triadic dualism involved in the location and association of forms. For simplicity and coherence these ideas are presented using simple units. Similar formations could apply just as well to trees, stones or people.

It is natural to produce arrangements by moving and placing actual objects. However it is interesting to consider producing a symbolic language for arrangements. Perfect triadic dualism is one such language but does not exhaust the possibilities of two dimensional arrangements.
