Every piece of paper was once empty. Look at a sheet of blank paper. The paper is, but void enters into its blankness, an emptiness that may be filled by whatever one wishes. This is a void in being. Consider a mirror. A mirror in darkness is a void in being because it can potentially reflect any image of the world of light. Look at a block of ice in the summer sun. According to physics, cold does not exist; heat exists, cold is merely a void in heat. Yet the effects of cold are real. Ice is cold, wet, heavy, hard, and translucently clear or white. It melts into water. In human experience the block of ice differs from the pool of meltwater.
