VOID

MIND ALIVE

AS READ BY THE AUTHOR
No is a power derived from the void. The void can appear as an obsidian mirror in the soul. Many of us live in the grit of daily struggle, navigating traffic on the way to work or home, facing the negations of opposing wills, or the simple entropy of time. We can transmit the negative charges of experience through us into the void, where they will disappear, but we must be very transparent in order to do that entirely. Since we are not all always so transparent, we hold behind our minds a different image of the void. We reflect from the void, from its depths, a reservoir of will and power. I call this the obsidian mirror. The obsidian mirror is everyone’s birthright. When we struggle with the car that wont start, the recalcitrant student, crop crushing hail, stocks that plunge to astounding depths, it is the obsidian mirror that keeps our face to the world, that challenges us to keep putting one foot before another. Reflecting our will through the obsidian mirror, we can stumble out of bed in forty degrees of frost, crash our legs into frozen jeans, start a fire with cold stiff fingers, and relish the winter dawn.
