VOID

MIND ALIVE

AS READ BY THE AUTHOR
Philosophical knowledge can be of crystalline form. Consider a large stone of many facets. The exterior is in our space and time; the interior requires extra dimensions. Most facets differ. Some are hidden in the soil beneath the stone, some are covered with weathered lichen, some are covered with the forms of knowledge: geometrical theorems, historical events, poems, wisdom, and the structures of machinery. Some facets are polished into shining mirrors, some are crystal clear, others opalescent, some facets radiate with inward light. From a distance the facet of void glimmers between light and dark; coming closer it clarifies and one can look into a deep space receding far back into the interior. Glancing sideways into the stone the view is blocked in some directions but in other directions one can examine the inner workings of many facets of the great stone of knowledge.
